Atkins Rules!

A little more yayyyy!

Yesterday I said I hit the 200 mark. Well, that was really 200.4. Today it was 200 even. I don't think I have even had an even weight like that since I started (and the fact that we have a scale that is digital and records ounces. It was only 4 oz but that is progress--not like the last few weeks where I hovered between 201 and 204. I found, buried in my daughter's closet, a pair of Tommy Hilfinger blue jeans, size 16 (but, I might add, a small 16, as I can already wear some 16s). I bought them many years ago when I had lost a lot of weight via near starvation. (I must have prayed for anorexia). I paid $70 for them, and they are still like new. I think my daughter must have snagged them (not like I got any use out of them for a few years), but at least now I really have something to look forward to. I think another 10 lbs will get me into them. Let's at least hope that by actually eating, and not letting myself go hungry that I can get there. I made it to 200 and am nearing my minigoal of <200 so my next mini goal will be to get into those jeans -- get them fastened, and to be able to wear them. Does that rule or what.

I have borrowed some other diet books from the library, some of which I found recommended on mr livinlavidalowcarb, Jimmie Moore's blog. I haven't really had a chance to read and review them yet. I love Dr. Atkins, but there may be some other strategies that I can try still involving low carb that may help to bump up the weightloss. I have actually eaten more this week than in previous weeks, so maybe eating when one is truly hungry is what needs to happen. I don't think I will try the fasting approach, unless I am truly not hungry. In fact, I have eaten three eggs almost everyday this week for breakfast. And last night we cheated and chicken nuggets from Wendy's. There is something to be said for eating period.

Any way, A. is saying something about finding a job on a website that might interest me. It would help if I go where I can hear her.
